North East Arnhem Land Aboriginal Corporation (NEAL) originated from YBE that was created in 1968 to ensure that the development of North-East Arnhem Land’s resources are shared and add value to the lives of all Yolngu people in the North East Arnhem Land region. From humble beginnings as the Yirrkala Brickworks in 1968 that supplied the bricks that formed the Gove District Hospital, NEAL is now becoming one of the largest Aboriginal Corporations in Australia in terms of both assets and revenue while expanding substantially and diversifying.
