I used this school for approx 9 weeks, being felxable and as engaging as possible. Then after we had finished our lesson my 6yr old son went to the toilet and got locked in, having never used their facilities I was unaware the doorknob/lock was dodgie. He became very distressed and I was upset as well. By the time he got out we both were teary and sensitive and the owner became abrupt, I wanted to take him home and she wanted to take him, I wouldn't let her saying we would see her next week. She said no don't come back she didn't like the way I responded! My son is devistated at her banning him from his riding that he loved and I am gob smacked at her adrupt and rude manner in dealing with a mother and 6yr old after being locked in her poorly maintained facilities.

I would not recommend this school for any children particularly if they have any sensitivity or needs. This school is her way or the highway! This had nothing to do with riding just who has the right to comfort their son!

I am the owner of Apollo Farm and would like to respond to the lady whos son was locked in the toilet. The full story has not been told ( theres a surprise ) Her son did lock the door when he enter the toilet when he did not return ( mum left him without supervision) mum went looking and son said could not open door. He was definatly distraught mainly because mum was overeacting and started crying and getting very emotional. She came to me for key and I said I did not have it on me but I would be able to get him out. When I arrived at toilet I bent down outside and calmed the son down straight away I also asked him if his hands were wet and he said yes. I then asked him to dry them so he could open door. He said ok and was out within 5 seconds. I have never had this happen before.

The same door and lock for 9 years. When he came out his mother was still very distraught making the son very upset. I asked the son if he would like to come and tell his teacher about his adventure ( who he loves ) and his mother grabbed his hand and said NO we are going home. I said to mother with her state of mind she would be better waiting before she drives. I was then told in no uncertain terms she is the mother and it was her decision and that she will be back next week. I said because the way she had behaved it was better not to do that. I then got another lot of abuse. The son has been coming for 9 weeks mainly with dad who is fantastic. The last couple of lessons with mum who has been solemn and does not say hello to other families. I do have other parents who witnessed this. The son was always welcome to come back with dad but I am not accepting the behaviour of his mother in front of other families as acceptable.
