The first time I took the bumper bars in to them the chrome plating failed after a few months. With a little bit of resistance they agreed to re do the chrome plating.

When I collected them for the second time one of the guys there implied that it was my fault. I appreciate the redo but the bad attitude from the guy there left me with a sour taste in my mouth.

The bumpers were removed from the plastic sleeves as per Karl’s initial instructions. Stored in newspapers in a cardboard box in a cupboard away from heat, humidity, rain, pollution and a whole host of other things that would affect chrome if it is put on a car and left in a shed.

They were kept clean and dust free except for the time between first emailing you on 13/02/2022 and bringing them in for inspection around early April.

The suggestion that chrome will last longer if it is left out in the elements in a shed is ridiculous. It should last 20 times longer if kept indoors and away from the elements.

The fact that I noticed it started to fail within months of collecting it and it got worse over time meant that it wasn’t any thing to do with how it was stored. And whilst Delway essentially admitted to the chrome failure and re did the chrome the suggestion that it was somehow my fault was unnecessary.

I am extremely happy with the redo, no one’s perfect and he simply got it wrong the first time. It wasn’t necessary to blame the customer. Which you keep doing by suggesting I kept it in the plastic. The redo would have been sufficient.

Regarding, “ You accused him of putting a sticker (which details this) on just your job.” I have no idea what you are talking about. I made zero accusations. There were no stickers on the original plastic sleeves that I received the first time. Maybe you mean that you have started putting stickers with instructions on the plastic sleeves since the issue with mine.
