Our Psychologists

Our psychologists are skilled in the application of a variety of approaches including cognitive behavioural techniques, solution focused brief therapy, mindfulness, motivational, interpersonal and psychodynamic therapies. Balanced Psychological Services believe that you and your concerns are unique and therefore tailor our assessments and interventions to suit your specific needs. Our psychologists are registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and full members of the Australian Psychological Society.

Clinical Services

At Balanced Psychological Services we can assist you with various concerns such as adjustment to life changes, stress, depression, anxiety, grief, relationship problems, addictive behaviours and much more. We can provide skills training in areas including goal setting, communication, assertiveness, problem-solving and stress management. Balanced Psychological Services have extensive experience working with psychological illness and disorder. We can provide immediate support if you are in crisis and assist in the management of acute mental illness, enabling you to participate in a more productive and fulfilling life. 

Forensic Services

Balanced Psychological Services can provide specialist assessments for medico-legal/criminal proceedings. We recognize the stress and anxiety that may arise through involvement in the legal system and endeavor to support you through this challenging time. We ensure that our reports provide realistic and practical recommendations to best assist you and maximise the likelihood of rehabilitation. Should you require specialised intervention for your legal matters, Balanced Psychological Services are experienced in the assessment and treatment of offence-related issues including drink driving, anger management, interpersonal violence, shoplifting/larceny, addictive behaviours and substance abuse.

Referrals:

Attendance at Balanced Psychological Services does not require a referral and you may wish to make an appointment directly. However, those who are referred by their GP may be eligible for rebates from Medicare or a private health fund. 

Appointments

We do our best to accommodate you with flexible appointment times, including after hours and weekends. Consultations are typically one hour in duration

Fees & Rebates

Fees can vary depending upon the nature and duration of your consultation, and eligibility for rebates. The fees at Balanced Psychological Services are lower than those recommended by the Australian Psychological Society and may be adjusted for those experiencing financial hardship. Bulk billing is available for pension card holders. 

Payments

Fees are payable at the time of consultation and HICAPS is available for immediate Medicare and health fund claims.

Balanced Psychological Services is situated in Dee Why, of Sydney’s Northern Beaches. 

Suite 2.02/30 Fisher Rd Dee Why. We are conveniently located in walking distance of public transport (Pittwater Rd) and local council car parks (Oaks Ave and Redman Rd).
