Okay a bit small.not a lot of disabled parking

Hate that this is my local grocery store. It’s not only a small store, but the worst thing about it has to be the staff. Same few staff members working full time or something, who are not very friendly. One particular older Caucasian female with glasses is TERRIBLE. She’s rude and I almost want to say racist/racially prejudice - definitely not friendly, not a good image for Coles at all. And unfortunately she’s always there when I go so.... I’ll be avoiding Coles Balwyn East.

Been there this morning around 10 am and the self service check out staff was so helpful. She was very friendly and patient, showing me how to recharge credit into the gift card correctly. A+ service I have received, thank you.

As others have said, its a bit small, you can't always get everything like at the larger stores but on the plus side its quicker to get around. And i agree the caucasian lady with the glasses on the checkout is bordering on being rude, shes never quite been rude to me but never smiles or chats either, & she was like that way before covid19. But who knows, maybe she has a hard life. The rest of the staff are usually v friendly & they have a hard job nowadays, as essential workers they put themselves at some risk in these difficult times. Also the store always looks clean & tidy. Keep up the good work!

edit: 2 weeks later, the lady i referred to before ignored me when i asked how her day was, wow is your life that bad? She never makes conversation with any customers, not just me. And yet she asks everyone in that fake friendly tone 'how are you?' LOL .Like maybe move on if you hate your customers that much, go work in a bank instead?

Small store, but convenient for what you need.. Carpark is a bit tight but it’s nice having the extra parking spots underneath. Nice local vibe, Kind staff. staff member Olivia is always friendly. Great to drop in for day to day needs

Great little supermarket but tends to get a little busy at times as can be a tight squeeze at check out. Staff always friendly and helpful
