How to Get a Quote

Open up any of the dLook category pages via our home page category links or by entering a search word, area or distance. You may then refine the area of interest for products or services on the Category Page by entering more details in the search system top Search Bar. To get closer vendors you can enter your postcode/suburb in the Where box and then where you wish to seek quotes from in the How Far search radius box. Thus if you were seeking services or products within a city or town, select an approximate radial distance, if over 200Km then select State and Interstate select National.

Staying on the category page in the top left corner of each of the shortlisted results is a tick box. Just select one or more of the vendors (max 5) you would like to send a free quote request to and once you have selecting then press Quote Me!

Next you'll see "Request Free Quote" form. Here you will see a list of all the vendors selected with short descriptions. At this point you can again refine your vendor selection in Step 1 but normally you should just go to Step 2 and fill out your details as requested and enter your quote request clearly written with your contact details as this will be sent off to the selected businesses via email. If you wish to receive a copy of each email sent for your records then tick the email box Email me a copy of this request. A copy will be sent to you for your own records if you tick the request box and dLook will forward the individual quote requests to each selected vendor who can now separately reply to your private free quote request.

To ensure a timely response nominate your quote expiry time to let the business know how long they have to respond.

Once you have completed your details and the description of the service or product requested you can click on the Send my Quote Request button and quote requests will be sent to each vendor selected.

QuoteMe™ is an easy to use quote system and is offered as a free service for all dLook users - however, dLook are unable to ensure that all quotation requests will be answered by the vendor.

The Learner

Arguably the most difficult part of acquiring any licence is the training involved as a learner driver to pass the provisional licence tests administered by the RTA.

Laurie's pleasant nature and calm disposition, backed up by his knowledge, experience and comprehensive training ability, ensure that this part of the process is as easy and enjoyable as possible for the learner driver.

Nervous Novices

Many learner drivers are understandably nervous when they are not proficient at the wheel of a motor vehicle. This nervousness is only more likely to cause them to make mistakes, and any sign of nervousness from the trainer can incite panic in the learner. One of the most important tools for any novice driver is a confident teacher.

Being calm under pressure is a valuable skill acquired through Laurie's extensive experience in a variety of situations, particularly the training of drivers of all kinds of road transport vehicles in all traffic situations and terrains.

As previously mentioned, Laurie is an EFT Practitioner. This gives him the skills to be able to quickly assist the trainee to release the tension which builds up in a novice driver, especially prior to a driving test.

Advanced Driver Training

Laurie’s model for advanced driver training, is to create a low risk driving environment, utilising accident avoidance techniques rather than defensive driving techniques.

The difference being that accident avoidance techniques attempt to gain information on the driving environment before there is any necessity to take defensive action. Conversely, accident avoidance techniques rely on good observation, gear selection and vehicle position to avoid any situation or incident before it becomes a serious accident.

Many young drivers do not receive any experience in heavy traffic or difficult driving conditions prior to obtaining their licence. These situations require confidence and the ability to make and execute correct decisions quickly.

Initially, Laurie conducts a carefully developed classroom session explaining the necessary principals, skills and techniques involved. Laurie then assesses the trainee drivers’ ability prior to taking them into densely populated situations that require quick decision making to practice the advanced DT techniques.

Services:

Mature Age Test Preparation....... Due to NSW regulations, drivers 85 years or older are required to complete a driving test before being reissued with a licence. As transport regulations and RTA requirements have changed over the years, this can make the test a rather harrowing and difficult event. Laurie can help the mature age driver to brush up on their driving skills and enlighten them as to today's Road Law and what the RTA test will require of them prior to sitting the driving test...... Skills Assessments........ For those wishing to improve their skills on today's busy and unforgiving roads, Laurie can assist any holder of a current drivers licence by assessing their current skill level and instructing them in the finer points of driving. This becomes very useful when you decide to drive a manual car after many years of driving automatics

My son has just recently passed his driving test and received his preliminary drivers license. I'd just like to thank Bells Driving School for teaching him and giving him the confidence to drive like an adult. His driving instructor was very patient and friendly and seemed very experienced. I would highly recommend this driving school to all learner drivers in Darwin!
