Al Martino's Italian Restaurant

We were happy with what we ordered, but the wait between our entree and the main was just too long..about 1:40mins. The couple behind us were complaining about the wait too and overheard that it wasn't the first time.

Its about time a good Italian Restaurant came into the area. The food was fantastic and the service was very attentive. Our bill was very reasonabe concidering we had all 3 courses. The Decor and atmosphere was very inviting.....we have been back 3 times already. We have yet to try the Sunday Breakfast !!!

I was waiting with anticipation for a decent italian restaurant in the Shire, how let down I was. The service is good but the food is disgraceful. No Italian would eat at this restaurant. This restaurant makes hospital food taste good.

I just thought I should add;

1. that I have never walked out of a restaurant before.
2. there was no hint of apology when we settled the drinks bill.

My husband and I went to the restaurant with our 3 children. The plentiful wait staff were very pleasant. We ordered the children's meals first with the drinks orders. We all ordered just a main meal.

After about an hour and 20 minutes we followed up on the children's meals. An apologetic waiter said that he had forwarded our request. We left unfed after an hour and forty minutes, fixing up our $10.60 drink bill (we byo'd as the restaurant had not finalised their liquor licence).

OK, so they haven't long been open, but really that level of kitchen service leaves a lot to be desired. Shall not be returning any time soon.
