Adelaide Capoeira martial arts training is sharing the traditions of Brazil through high-intensity martial arts training classes. Known as capoeira, this is Afro-Brazilian martial art disguised as a dance. Born hundreds of years ago as an expression of resistance in the Portuguese-colonized Brazil, it is a rigorous form of self-defense that slaves camouflaged with music, song and dance.

Expert teaching for all levels

Experience Adelaide Capoeira martial arts training for yourself! Brazilian-born instructor Marcela Macedo shares his passion for the capoeira, teaching explosive martial arts for all ages and experience levels. No experience needed — just an open mind and positive attitude!  In addition to the various fitness sessions, Adelaide Capoeira martial arts promotes the martial arts through:

• Educational lectures and courses

Capoeira martial arts experts are also available to perform at private parties, corporate events and demonstrations. 

Training sessions / classes are from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. and 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. Mondays; 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. and 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesdays; and 5 to 6 p.m. and 6 to 7 p.m. Fridays.
