I took 4 overseas guests to Kiama and decided on fish & chips for lunch at Barnacles. We were greeted by a long queue and two, unoccupied, very dirty tables without chairs. As a result, we chose the waiter/waitress service in the next room (a partitioned section of the same seafood establishment). Uncleared tables and take-it-or-leave-it attidude: the more varied selection available in the take-away part could not be bought in the service area. What a pity because the seafood itself was very good.
