I was at Bothkamp for a season and will say that this definitely is not a job for the faint of heart. (They will tell you this). You can expect to work hard and work a lot. Getting that out of the way, it was easily the most positive work experience I'd had in 4 different states. The hours were consistent, sometimes relentless, but it was the only farm where everyone seemed to earn what they were told they would_ no 'bait and switch'. There are easier jobs, yes, but we were all treated with respect, not simply as foreign labor. The boss learns everyone's name within a few days of their starting, and he even occasionally brings a couple cases of beer at the end of a shift. Nowhere else compares.

Worked here for some of the pumpkin season...Great farm to work for, I reccomend!! Hourly pay, reliable amount of hours, sometimes 65hrs a week so it's amazing for saving money. The permanent team are legends and sometimes provide BBQ and Bevs after a day of work. You can take home pumpkins too, YUM!
