Sutton Forest Winery in the Southern Highlands - Renowned for their award winning Riesling
On the Hume Highway in the Southern Highlands is Cherry Tree Hill, one of Sutton Forest's finest boutique vineyards. Offering an award winning range of red and white wines, come by the Cherry Tree Hill cellar door when next visiting Southern Highlands.
The Cherry Tree Hill wines are widely regarded as a great find in boutique wines, with numerous medals and awards including medals at the Royal Sydney Wine Show, Boutique Wine Awards and International Riesling Challenge.
Southern Highlands Award Winning Wines
Cherry Tree Hill currently have four medal winning varieties, including our cabernet merlot, cabernet sauvignon, sauvignon blanc and, our top performer, the 2005 Riesling.
Our 2005 Riesling scored 87/100 in the James Halliday 2010 Wine Companion, it received a bronze medal in the 2008 International Riesling Challenge, bronze in the 2008 Royal Sydney Wine show and many others.
Notably, our 2006 Cabernet Merlot also received 90/100 in James Hallidays 2010 Wine Companion.
Our Sutton Forest Vineyard
With fourth generation vintner, David Lorentz, the passion shared by the Lorentz family dates back to his great grandfather in Hungary who produced some of the most revered wines in the country. Recognising the suitable soil and weather conditions of the Southern highlands, and particularly their property in Sutton Forest led to the formation of Cherry Tree Hill in 2000.
This boutique winery now produces some of the Southern Highlands best wines.
