Isuzu Car Club of Australia Inc.
The ICCA started life in March, 1968 as the Bellett Car Club of NSW with the first meeting held at Marion St, Harris Park. The club was founded by the late Jim and Roslyn Gore who were keen Bellett owners and it was founded with the support of both Griffon Motors and Isuzu Motors Japan. The ICCA was also associated with the ISCC of Japan and Team Isuzu.
The club initially catered for owners of all Isuzu vehicles along with Colts that were also imported from Japan by Griffons. The Colts and 1100s soon faded and Belletts, Bellett GTs, Florian, LUVs, Gemini and assorted 117’s, utes, trucks and SUVs became the backbone of the membership.
By the mid 1990s the Club had grown and members were participating in all levels of motorsport, car restoration and social events involving Isuzu vehicles. Regular visits to the Japanese Isuzu Clubs started along with a relationship with the Finland Bellett Club.
As motorsport needs change and the vehicles aged so has the ICCA moved to meet the modern challenges posed by a busy society … so the club emphasis has gradually moved to preservation and social activities.
The ICCA is an incorporated CAMS affiliate club that has both an active membership who both restore and compete in a range of Isuzu and Isuzu powered vehicles.
Current ICCA membership is open to all Isuzu vehicle owners and associates and membership ranges from free Internet membership up to CAMS competition licence holders. The club runs both social, car show and competition events for the members and guests and a club calendar is available on the izucca.com.au club web site.
