“I stayed Wallaroo Hotel Coolatai and have to say at how surprised I was to find this type of accommodation in such a remote area. My husband and I are from the city have been traveling over Australia and this is one of the cleanest and friendliest places we've been. Very nice rooms and they even had a big screen TV in the sports bar. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. 5/5 do recommend. ”

“This was the worst place i have ever been to. Bartender had major attitude. He was walking around and asked if he could put though my keno (which seemed like a major effort) after tossing me the ticket i turned around to my husband and said the male had an attitude problem, after saying that the bartender started to abuse me saying he had other things to do. Once over that episode i continued down to the bar to get myself, husband and kids a drink when i was told he wasn't going to serve us. I thought WHAT your a business, you just had a go at me and now your not going to serve us? so we walked out and went to a nearby hotel which had friendly staff and lovely food.”

“We went to billows last night and were impressed . I had the rack of lamb and my husband had the salmon. Both were delicious and good value. the food took a little too long to arrive but when it did it was well worth it!

“I randomly stepped into this cosy, darkish place and i absolutely loved it! the barman seemed to be a bit away in his personality but he was so kind and respectful at the same time - hard to explain. great customer service.

but its all about FOOD, FOOD, FOOD!! they're menu is quite small and its mainly entrees and small mains but its delicious. the way they have put different ingredients together is beyond belief (pistachio rice with prawn korma, calamari marinated in kiwi-fruit served with chilli-rocket-pinenut salad etc.) - im drewling already!

“One of the best restaurant experiences I have had. MOO is unlike any other in that it is very Melbourne. Great wine list (900 or so) ata very reasonable price. The menu is short (about 7 entrees and 7 mains) but changes regularly. The food has a fresh and generous feel to it. Their policy seems to be to produce solid food that is not cheffed within an inch of its life.
I recommend the pork dish .... followed by the chocolate tasting platter .... dreamy!”

“OH WHAT A FEELING!!! Good old fashioned food, comfortable beds, friendly staff and locals. This hotel is right in the center of lots of attractions, like SPC factory outlet, Shepperton shopping meca, and just a short drive to Echuca. My favorite is the vanilla slices at the local bakery, not that you really have room for them after eating the huge meals dished up by Gary & Sue & Chrissy. It's just like staying with family, but none of the hassels. Congratulations on the nice clean surroundings. We will be back. The price is right.”

“We were looking for a weekend away with a difference. My wife and I stayed at the commercial for the weekend. The experience was fantastic. It was as if we were in a time warp. The food was great and the service was very friendly. Also we did the whole weekend for less than $200, food included!”

The steaks are $7 on special and are really tasty - a friend of mine, who is a bit of steak aficianado, has mentioned in the past that the steaks are better than places that charge double or more! Service is very speedy - your meal is normally ready within 10 minutes. Book a table to guarantee a seat.”
