About Us
Launched in September 2007, Book Bargains has been set up to deliver the book buying public in Australia with the following unique service:
Massive savings on all titles – up to 75% off RRP and sometimes more, customers usually save more than they spend
All books dispatched within 24 hours – typically customers receive their books the very next working day
FREE freight and handling - to anywhere in Australia for all orders over $50
Think of Book Bargains as a factory outlet for books where the sale never ends.
If you're looking for the very latest releases, or perhaps searching for an obscure title by a specific author, don't mind paying top dollar and waiting typically weeks or months for your order to arrive, then you are probably better to try one of the many other online book stores available.
But if you're just looking for great books by some of the world's best selling authors at up to 75% off normal retail prices, sometimes more, and you would like to receive your books within a few days, you've come to the right place.
So, we invite you to have a browse through Book Bargains and if you see some books you fancy, give us a go and see how cheap and easy buying books online can be.

- Book Bargains is wholly Australian owned and operated by husband and wife team, Murray Finlayson and Wilma Rietveld. We source all our books personally from here and overseas and pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service. Maintaining this "personal touch", we use a small warehouse operation in Alexandria, Sydney, close to fast distribution points, in order to get books to customers in an unbeatable time frame.
- With twenty years experience in the publishing industry, Murray began working in business magazines then migrated to internet publishing in 1998, just when the internet was beginning to take off. He worked continually through the "boom" and "bust" periods of the dot com era and understands the power of the internet and why it is making such a strong comeback. He believes that with a simple to use website and an efficient fulfillment operation, he can deliver the cost savings and customer service book buyers are looking for.
- A former teacher, Wilma has worked in Human Resources for many years and has also been an editor in the publishing industry.
