About Perth Medical Volunteers
Perth Medical Volunteers is a not for profit Event Medical Service, covering the greater Perth metropolitan area as well as community events across all of Western Australia, we are focussed primarily on the needs of local schools, charities and community groups, Perth Medical Volunteers provide reliable, experienced and well-equipped first aid staff to relieve event organisers of concerns regarding injury or illness of patrons. Our volunteer medics have extensive experience, receive the highest level of training & are fully insured. We are a non-profit organisation and all funds raised (by donation) are re-invested in the maintenance & upgrading of equipment and the training of our volunteer medics.

PMV has been amazing right from the start! It has allowed me to gain hands on experience and use my skills at a wide variety of events. The training provided to the volunteers is delivered by experienced trainers and has allowed me to confidently treat patients. The management team at PMV are professional and approachable. They always ensure the expectations of volunteers and clients are met and exceeded. To anyone wanting to gain hands on experience alongside peers and industry professionals, PMV is the place to volunteer! The service PMV provide at events is to a high standard. The management team are always willing to work alongside clients to ensure events run smoothly. I highly recommend Perth Medical Volunteers to anyone looking for reliable and experienced medical staff for your next event!
I would no recommend that any students volunteer here, you are taken advantage of - they are the most unprofessional volunteer organisation I have worked with.
The group is run by a main 'clique' , and the third year students that run the whole thing completely lack any strong communication skills with their crew and could leave you sitting outside the depot for half an hour after a 10 hour shift, or in the early hours of the morning because they didn't even communicate with each other who needs to be at the station to hand over to the volunteers,
If you have any feedback to give or ask of them, their egos will get bruised to the point where they will actually forget what professionalism is to the point that they will not only ignore your request to sign off your hours for weeks, they will also leave a nice little nasty, twisted comment on your hours report because they don't like how you feel.
Avoid if you can, there are lots of other opportunities, you don't have to go with the easiest or cheapest provider.
