About Southern Wilderness Art
I am a West Australian artist who lives in the Fitzgerald Biosphere in Hopetoun. My artwork expresses a love of the coastal environment and my passion for colour. My mixed media paintings often incorporate marine waste such as ropes and pieces of plastic. I also use the washed up ropes to make my unique beach rope baskets. I run workshops on mixed media painting, watercolour painting, drawing with pastels and charcoal, printmaking techniques and beach rope baskets. Marine waste has become a key material in my beach artwork. I produce greeting cards using my artwork. My products can be purchased from my bush land studio and outlets in Hopetoun and Ravensthorpe.
