A serious lack of common sense! Ordered for delivery, missed the option for online payment - ready to pay on eftpos upon delivery. Driver handed the food over the fence and walked back to his car. I called him back for payment and he insisted it was paid already which I assured him that it wasn’t and he checked the details and agreed. Unfortunately, he didn’t carry the wireless eftpos machine and I had no cash. He rang the restaurant who wanted my card details over the phone, obviously I was not willing to give this and offered to call in the next day to make payment however, they declined and rudely hung up the phone and the food was taken away. I had previously used this restaurant several times and was disappointed to be categorised as a scammer when I later called to complain. My apologies to the driver for venting my frustrations on him. As for the restaurant you have lost a customer but I shall advise you to get in the modern world and support your delivery team with eftpos. Who handles cash since covid anyway??
