Cocktail was great, squid special was great, other stuff we ordered was great, atmosphere and decor was great but surprisingly our let down was the chilli crab noodles. We found very little crab for a dish called "chilli crab noodles" and when we asked about it, we were told the crab meat is pre portioned. Unfortunately, the flavour of our noodles was out of balance and tasted overwhelmingly of Zhenjiang vinegar, so coupling that with the small amount of crab meat, there was no hope of this dish tasting anything like crab. For such a renowned dish from a place featured in the AGFG, I can only assume we were a bit unlucky with the version of it we were served, however, the flavours I think the noodles were aiming to be is from a very simple Chinese staple noodle dish which you really shouldn't get wrong. Still one of the best places to eat in Albany and would love to try the rest of the menu. Don't usually write reviews but just thought I might try to leave some constructive criticism.
