I booked for 2 nights stay in this hotel. My car'a engine has gone in Tom Price. I supposed to arrive in hotel on 30 Oct, but I just can't, so I called the owner upfront. The owner told me that I should tell booking and thank me let them know. That means they already know I can not show that day and the day after that day. She can still sell their room. I told booking I could not show that day and I can provide the proof. The time is really approaching at that time, I have to catch plane. So I don't have much time to tell booking I need to cancel it. And I can't be contacted on the plane. But, my cancellation is really obvious, isn't it? After booking had cancelled the room, the owner still said it is too late. I still can not be refunded. Today, I called hotel again. The attitude of the owner is not good as the reviews. She said You lost your money for your first night and I lost my second night money and we are even! That is so RUDE. Although my car's engine has gone in a small town, I was helped by so many many... Australians. I really appreciate and really touching. My husband and I have moved from Perth to Darwin. We had to throw a lot our stuffs because of the car. We are not on purpose for not staying in that hotel. We are backpackers and really out of budget. We just want $140 refund and I don't realize that is so difficult. They have their story and just don't understand us.
