Purchased the bed 5 months ago.
It has a major structural defect and has collapsed.
I have NOT been able to sleep in the bed because the frame has collapsed. I contacted Furniture Bazaar and an assessor came out and agreed the bed frame is defective.
It was agreed to refund me my money.
However, Furniture Bazaar have now asked me to pay $90 so they can pick up the defective bed.
I have no means to deliver the bed, no trailer or car suitable.
I contacted Department of Consumer Protection and they have confirmed that the bed must be picked up by Furniture Bazaar. They say it is the business responsibility to collect the defective item.
I have attempted several times to contact Furniture Bazaar to arrange for them to pick up the bed. When I finally spoke to them I was told "end of conversation" and that I need to pay the $90 because 5 months ago when I initially purchased the bed I picked it up myself. They said if I used their delivery service "there wouldn't be a discussion".
In the meantime I have nowhere to sleep.
