Sought some assistance re a extended seat stem for my fold up bike whilst travelling through the Alice. Although unable to source one the staff member went out of his way to help me, tremendous service
Two other bike shops in Alice were booked out for the week. In desperation, I opted to try Chris at Ultimate Ride to fix a loose chain that kept catching. Without approval to proceed with the $407 worth of repairs he said needed doing, he completely disassembled my mountain bike, then called me to advise what his recommendation were (to upgrade to a new Merida ($887)). Have cried three times now about the loss of transportation, as my car is currently off the road as well. Unable to cycle my kids to school or anywhere else is annoying to say the least. Try Smith St Velo or Avanti - at least they will send you a quote BEFORE undertaking any work.
