This a review of the Skedaddle boat tour, run by the Seastar people. They started using the Skedaddle about a year ago. It seems very new, and it did move quite fast, although it's just a fast big boat, nothing like the jetboating experience in New Zealand. The boat left a few minutes after the time we were told because everyone had to et kitted out with equipment. The staff were very friendly. At Hastings reef they towed people around if necessary, and gave everyone a descriptive tour, pointing out anemone fish and giant clams and such, and imparting general reef knowledge. The skedaddle is only 12-4:40 or so, so they don't have much vittles on board, just some drinks for purchase, but they didn't have an issue with us bringing our own snacks. We saw a turtle with the guides, then towards the end a few sharks for those of us who snorkeled pretty much the whole time. There's one snorkel session of a couple of hours. The boat has a bathroom. They provide sunscreen and water, and there are warm showers for hosing off. You pay for the tour, hen an additional $15 per person in reef tax when you board at Finger E of the Marljn Wharf. The company's office is in the BreakFree Royal Harbor hotel building.

It only got better when the glass boat tour happened and post that snorkelling.
Truly breathtaking.. thank you to the staff to make the experience so beautiful and let's work towards conserving our Great Barrier reef. Let our grandkids or their kids have a chance to experience this beauty that has been endowed upon us and looked after by the Traditional owners for thousands of years.. salute to them as well...
