Garratt Road Bridge consists of two adjacent bridges over the Swan River, linking the suburbs Bayswater and Ascot The upstream bridge was built in 1935, while the matching downstream bridge was built in 1972. It allows two lanes of traffic in each direction to cross the Swan River, alongside pedestrians on an adjacent footbridge. Since then the bridge has had various major upgrades due to the fact of decaying construction materials previously used and that it is a very popular traffic bridge with easy connection from Bayswater to Ascot.
