Dealt with Caitlin(designer). She designed bathroom and cabinets. Cabinet work itself no complaints. She recommended either their builder or Graham to do install. Builder not available so went with Graham and this is where my complaint is. Caitlin dealt directly with him for installation. He referred to her as "his boss" ie had to follow her instructions. He never came back to remove waste after tiling finished (Not referring to other building waste) even though that would have been allowed in quote. Left in driveway so my sick husband and I hired skip and in the heat disposed of eventually. Didn't take grout off tile he replaced. Accidentally overpaid him $90.00 but despite requesting him on multiple occasions to check his invoices against my bank details to verify my overpayment I never got money back nor saw any of his evidence to show that I had not overpaid even though I had evidence to show I over paid. He just kept the money. Never saw him again although called and messaged MULTIPLE MULTIPLE times. Even if he did call back after multiple messages he always was going to contact me"next week " which he never did. Called Western Cabinets and spoke to Tony (owner of Western Cabinets) He said not responsible for Graham as they don't employ him-this is despite what I say above about recommendations and Graham referring to Caitlin as "boss".He tried to get Graham to call- he did but Graham would never make a date to come out or sort out overpayment and some financial compensation for us having to pay effectively double for waste removal. When I told Tony that I didn't need this stress as my husband seriously ill with cancer he suggested I didn't "play that card " as his wife also has cancer. As if I manipulate people with my husband's illness. !! He offered to repay the $90 overpayment but didn't get the principle of it at all- they recommend people on their job they also have to take responsibility. He also told me to take grout off myself! When I said I would have to leave a review about all this he said that "would be wrong to do ". If you read other reviews other customers refer to Graham as Western Cabinets "team" and "installers" so obviously I am not the only person to think Graham worked for them. This is going on now for 9 months after completion of job with no resolution so it's not like I didn't give fair time to sort out. Writing this review is all I can do- I'll never get the money back or alleviate the stress caused by this experience. Use the cabinet side if you want just beware Graham.
