About East Gresford Showground

East Gresford Showground provides camping in a pleasant location beside the Allyn River. There are plenty of grassy locations with power outlets and mostly level. There is a large swimming hole in the river with a path down the embankment to the water. Bring your swimmers and a canoe to paddle around. Features are that it is adjacent to the Allyn River, managed by showground committee, powered and unpowered sites, large shady trees, swimming hole in the river, hose connector taps, strong mobile phone signal and family-friendly. Gresford is a beautiful country town. The district's vineyards were amongst the earliest in the Hunter Valley. Lovely places to visit within half-hour drive beautiful views of the valley
