About Wingsong Choir
Wingsong is based in Wingham NSW, founded 20 years ago by Telly Bertels as an open community choir. We sing mostly acappella (unaccompanied voices) in four-part harmony, but sometimes include instruments. Our songs are multi-cultural, uplifting, and inspire peace, social justice and environmental awareness. We often sing to support local community events and visiting artists, and regularly feature at the opening of the annual Wingham Music Festival in October.
In recent years, the musical direction of Wingsong has been taken up by Wingham-based music teacher Sandra Kwa, with ongoing assistance from Telly, and also Susan Stott.
Rehearsals are Thursday of school term, 5.30-7pm, at the Presbyterian Hall, 32 Moon Street, Wingham. All welcome!
