About Exhibition: Painting the North East
An exhibition of oil on board works by artist Susan Murphy.
The collection charts the passage of the seasons over the diverse landscape of North East Victoria. Susan’s paintings capture the changing light and mood in mountain views, tranquil valleys and dramatic skies. Sites of reflection include Beechworth, the Buckland Valley and the High Plains prior to 2019's bushfires.
Susan gained a BA.Hons Degree in Fine Art from Edinburgh College of Art in 1989. She has practiced art and worked in commercial and public regional galleries in Scotland, Ireland and Australia since then. She works exclusively in oil paint.
