About UMAT Preparation Courses
Entry into university degree courses such as Medicine, Pharmacy, Optometry, Physiotherapy or Dentistry is extremely competitive. In Australia and New Zealand most universities require applicants to undergo the UMAT (Undergraduate Medicine and Health Science Admission Test). The UMAT is not a test of knowledge per se, but more a type of aptitude test which covers a range of non-academic qualities which are considered integral to the study of these Health Sciences. It is possible to be more prepared for the UMAT by familiarising yourself with the nature of the test, undergoing practice questions and being coached on what to expect. This isn’t easy, and it won’t happen overnight! However we have developed a UMAT preparation course to help you practice the skills required to succeed in the UMAT. Established in 1999, we have different levels of UMAT preparation courses ranging from a platinum course to a Distance Learning Program, with prices starting from $375 (AUD) for concession holders. Included in all courses: 8 Manuals containing questions, explanations, tips and study methods 3 Specifically Skilled Teachers 24 hour support 1,500 practice questions (4,000+ for the Platinum Package) A full one day Workshop is included in all but the Distance Learning Program and they all include a mock UMAT exam under strict exam conditions. Group discounts are available on some packages and a limited number of Scholarships are made available each intake. For those students requiring extra Interview Training, we provide an optional 3 hour mock interview and feedback session. A good result in your final year of school will not necessarily guarantee you automatic entry into the above health science degree courses. You might have put in the hours of study to get a good result, but it can be all for nothing if you don’t pass the UMAT. Don’t risk it!
