About Geeveston Community Center
Geeveston Community Centre, known locally as GeCo, is Australia’s southernmost Neighbourhood House and is part of the Neighbourhood House Tasmania (NHT) network. GeCo was established 31 years ago and is located in the beautiful township of Geeveston.
Our centre is warm and welcoming and there are a range of activities and resources on offer to support local people. Drop-in or get in touch.
GeCo’s mission is to mitigate the social impacts of the decline of Geeveston’s primary industries by bringing people together to focus upon opportunities, wellbeing and equity. We take a strengths approach to community development by providing spaces of safety and support so that locals feel connected to their community.
