Do yourself a favour and book a tour on the Proud Mary river cruise. Cabins are modern, food is of a high quality and plenty of it. The captain is welcoming. You can visit the wheel house any time. Shore excursions are interesting as is watching the birds follow the boat. Very relaxing. Highly recommended. The small number of passengers - we had 32 makes it very friendly. If you are on your own that would not be a problem as the people in our group were very welcoming.
Just finished a 5 night cruise. It was such an awesome experience even though the river was rising. The height of the river caused some disruptions to the itinerary but the crew went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. Highly recommend this cruise and would love to do it again.
