Very disappointed with my experience. Booked my Yongala dive several days in advance, called ahead and asked if there was anything else I needed to do or know and was told that everything was good to go. I bought my flights to Townsville and planned a trip to Magnetic Island around the dive. I flew and ferried to the island only to have them call at 4pm the day before to cancel the dive because they didn't have enough people sign up. This is understandable from a business standpoint but they should have warned me when I purchased the tickets so I could devise a backup plan. They could have called 5 or three days earlier and informed me of the possibility of cancellation. Instead, the pulled the rug out from under my feet and unapologetically cancelled something that I was excited about doing.
They did provide a full refund (as expected) and I dove with them at the Great Barrier Reef the next day, which was a good experience. The dive masters were kind and professional but it didn't quite make up for the terrible experience I had with my dive cancellation. I would have appreciated a discount on the reef dive or some other way of sympathizing with my experience, which is that I missed out on a world-famous wreck dive because of their inability to anticipate, plan, and communicate.
