I had this DJ for an event I was attending, the music was stuttering constantly, drops for songs were ruined and cut too soon.
It was near impossible to even attempt to dance to.
Song requests were very infrequently honoured, and when they were it seemed often to be directly ripped from YouTube, with background noise from music videos.
Had this company for our wedding as part of our package with our wedding venue. We had dj "gazman" as our dj for the evening. There were quite a few hiccups and dissapointing moments throughout the night.
•My maid of honour has a unique name. Before being intoroduced into the reception- she went out of her way to pronounce her name to the dj 3-4 times in person so he could say it correctly. He assured her that he was all good and memorised her name. He still got it incorrect for the introduction to the reception AND for her speech, which left he a bit upset.
•For my father daughter dance, an awful quality version of the song we chose was played, which sounded like it was streamed from YouTube. There was talking in between the song from the recording and quite frankly my dad and I were utterly embarrassed to be dancing in front of everyone to this song.
•The genre of music did not really draw crowds to the dance floor. If a particular song didn't attract a crowd it would not be switched or stopped, but the song would play it out in full. And then a very similar song would be played on for the next! I don't think the crowd was really read and the music that interested them and the music that didn't. The dance floor was not really full until 11pm.
•Requests were not really accepted by the dj despite my partner and I noting that we encouraged guests song requests.
I recommend doing thorough research and reading reviews before selecting a dj. Despite filling out preference sheets with great detail and many, many emails explaining what we would like, songs choices and the version etc, I still feel we did not get the experience we had detailed to Da Doo Ron Ron and what we were promised by them.
