Had a good case of polyps. Rather than acting out of self interest, he recommended trialling cortisone spray to see if it makes a difference. This is putting the patient first.
He also set the right expectations on the benefits and emphasised the likelihood of polyps returning, but gave useful steps in slowing it down. Again, putting the patient first.
Easy to organise surgery, and was off pain killers within 24 hours and breathing better from the moment I woke up. Good clean work.
Dr McCrystal doesn't anwer the questions and concerns of his patients. I was very desperate to have my tonsils removed as they had grown too large to eat and were affecting my nutrition so I saw him as he was the first available ent. It's no wonder... During the procedure, he must've used electrocauterization and severely burnt my tongue and burnt off part of my uvula making it lopsided. In the morning, I had many questions to ask, but he seemed uninterested in waiting for me to painfully produce the words.
I would suggest alternative treatments in the meantime while waiting for a better ent to become available.
