I booked in with Dr Eliza for a lactation support home visit as I was struggling with latching and positioning with my newborn. Dr Eliza had a warmth that made me feel immediately at ease. She was able to explain the Gestalt breastfeeding approach in a way that was easy to understand, and she made hands on adjustments to the way that I was latching and holding baby. By the end of the consultation, feeding was very comfortable and I felt confident that we would be able to easily replicate the “fit and hold” ourselves - feeding no longer felt overwhelming or stressful. Dr Eliza provided follow up support via email, and was very responsive in answering questions, and addressing and alleviating any concerns. Knowing that Dr Eliza is a medical professional as well as having extensive further training in breastfeeding and biologically normal infant sleep provided an extra layer of reassurance. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dr Eliza to anybody experiencing difficulties with breastfeeding - thanks to Dr Eliza, our feeding journey is now off to a fabulous start!
