About Steve Powell Drumming
I’m a drummer and teacher living in Brisbane. I have over 20 years playing experience and have taught drums to adults and children for over 10 years. Because I love many styles of music, I aim to give my students experience in and appreciation of these styles as well as teaching them correct drumming technique. I am also a current Blue Card holder.
All lessons are catered to suit different ages, relevant music genres and personalities! Lessons cover:
- Correct drumming technique (hands and feet), Drum Rudiments and stick control
- Knowledge of all styles of drumming including: Jazz, Rock, Funk, R&B, Reggae, Latin and many more
- Reading of proper drum notation, rhythms, beats and charts
- Learn and play along to your favourite songs!
