Welcome to Creswick open range farm ,we are an award winning open range soy free egg producer ,found in the kitchens of most of Ballarat's best chefs. You will also find us on the shelf at family owned supermarkets ,fruit shops , and fine foods outlets right across Melbourne .We pride ourselves on the outright quality of our eggs , and here is just a few of our secrets.
We run only 3000 to 4000 hens in 5 or 6 separate colonies across 60 or so acres of dedicated chook yard ,way less than 200 hens per hectare, secured by over 4 km of 6 foot high electric fence . And additional security is provided by our 4 Maremma Sheepdogs.
Our farm is completely off grid , we catch our own rain water , we make 100% of our own solar power right here on site.
