We’d heard great things about JBM Solutions, and at first we’re really impressed with what they had to offer. In early September we were told that they were busy, so we’d have to wait till early November for our retaining wall.

October passed with no follow up unless we chased to see what was going on.

November passed with more empty promises and apologies for delays, followed by silence for a week and a half. Soon we received a phone call to say the operations manager we had been dealing with had left the company, and the new operations manager told us that our job just wasn’t big enough for them, and they didn’t know when they could fit us in.

Not to worry though, as they would pass on details of other local trades who could help us. Oddly enough, they couldn’t even manage that.

We are now left with a job that was never started, and a retaining wall that is more deteriorated than when they first came to quote for the job.

Must be nice to be able to say to clients their $14k job is too small to bother about doing. Clearly the economy isn’t as bad as some would have us believe.

So if you want to have endless empty promises, rubbish customer service, and arrogant staff with their overinflated egos shoved so far up themselves that they can even be bother to send you an email, then sure, go for JBM Solutions.

If you want quality workmanship, or you know, any work at all done, I would highly suggest you go elsewhere. The only saving grace is that they are so incompetent, they managed to screw us over without getting any money from us in the process.

Steve and the JBM team installed a new retaining wall for us, within the time frame promised. From the initial contact, to quote and work completion, I was extremely impressed. The work crew were efficient, polite and proud of their work. The post-installation follow up to make sure we were happy was also excellent. Highly recommend.
