The past twelve months has seen a drastic down turn in Poynter Primary. It is a true reflection on how good the previous principals have been. In my opinion it is now run by a politician type lip-service attitude with a jelly back. Certain families are given preferential treatment, more awards, key roles in productions and prominent roles, while others are not given the time of day. As a parent you feel you are not listened to. I agree no homework for year 7's is a joke. A few teachers are excellent-Mrs Mac, Mr Beard, Mrs Duim but unfortunately they are a minority.
From what I have witnessed, I strongly advise anyone with a child with special needs, please consider a different school. I would be hard pushed to give half a star.
