Originally Healesville had farming and timber as its main industries, but as the community has evolved it has developed into a tourist and wine area.
The school has excellent facilities. The BER building provides flexible learning options along with a two storey complex of 12 classrooms which provides an impressive range of educational facilities. Staff and conference rooms are located in an administration building. There is a separate library alongside a computer lab and an assembly hall complex that includes a canteen, art-craft and music rooms.
