About Friends of Duncraig Library Bushland

We are a small community group based around Duncraig. Our aims and objectives are to protect and conserve the 0.3 ha of banksia woodland located on the corner of Warwick Rd and Marmion Ave Duncraig adjacent to the Duncraig Library. We are working towards having this important natural area re-zoned from Civic and Cultural use to Conservation. This land is owned by the people of WA and is managed by the City of Joondalup. Banksia Woodland is a Threatened Ecological Community on the Perth Coastal Plain and provides a habitat for the endangered Carnaby's Black Cockatoo which has been sighted foraging in this small bushland reserve.
