Dr Ben Dodd is a Brisbane born and trained Laparoscopic Upper GI and Bariatric Surgeon. He performs laparoscopic primary and revisional Upper GI and Bariatric procedures weekly. Dr Dodd is motivated by good surgical outcomes and optimising patients’ recovery from surgery and has a strong interest in Enhanced Recovery Surgery.
Ben is actively involved in the teaching of medical students and surgical trainees. He leads many Upper GI and Bariatric Surgery research projects through the HUB Research Group, which he cofounded at the RBWH.
The practice aims to provide high quality patient counselling and evidence based surgical management of a comprehensive range of Upper GI conditions to patients in Brisbane and surrounding areas.
