I had an appointment with Dr Chin yesterday and had a really upsetting experience.
As I lay on the floor, typing this, in severe pain at 1am, I explained to her that I’ve been experiencing tremendous pain, possibly from a pinched nerve. She moved my arm that didn’t trigger the pain (and I wasn’t going to fake it), and gave up.
She didn’t really seem to listen to me and prescribed me painkillers 50% weaker than what I was taking because she misinterpreted what I said. The pain I’ve been experiencing was so intense that it made me nauseous. The anti-inflammatory is weak. I wasn’t looking for someone to validate my confirmation bias, but what I was prescribed was not helpful.
As we’ve moved, we wanted to find a GP we can go to and depend on moving forward (essentially a family doctor). I absolutely recommend staying away from this doctor if you want to be taken seriously.
But, the admin staff we very friendly and warm when greeted - this review isn’t a reflection on them, just me on the floor in pain, not feeling heard. Going to have to see another doctor.
