About Alexander Technique & Somatic Education Centre
A famous Australian, F.M. Alexander, developed the Alexander Technique in response to a career threatening vocal disorder and general poor health. His health improved so much others began asking him for help and Dr's advised him to relocate to England so his work would become universally known. His work is currently taught in many countries.
Alexander's work teaches us to sense our body/mind habits and response patterns and teachers help us to change these in a productive way that leads to less stress, less strain, and ease and relaxation in moving and thinking.
Gradually learning how to inhibit poor response patterns improves poise and ease of movement across our full range of activities.
Alex is an AUSTAT trained teacher since 1986.
