An incredibly picturesque spot on the Collie River where coal was first discovered in 1882. There is a plaque but no facilities. A sign is needed to correctly indicate the turn-off as it is easily missed. The road itself needs some work - it was touch and go whether I would get out again in my hire car (Suzuki Swift). Could be a nice scenic stopping point with some basics added (e.g. improved road, picnic table, interpretive sign)
