Billilla Homestead located at 26 Halifax Street in Brighton has had an illustrious history.
Primarily used as a residence up until the former Brighton City Council purchased the property in 1973, the building has been used for weddings, events and as an additional campus for two schools.
At the 23 June 2022 meeting of Bayside City Council a report was presented regarding the future of Billilla.
Council was unanimous in its decision to adopt the first recommendation, approving the future use of Billilla as a centre for:

• hospitality and events
• learning opportunities
• social enterprise and volunteer activities
