About Killarney Point
Killarney Point has had a long, rich and wonderous heritage both indigenous and post European arrival. The consistent narrative from that history has been one of a meeting place, a gathering place, a place of sharing and a place of community.
Since the land was taken from the original custodians 184 years ago, it has only ever had planning problems. It couldn’t be developed in 1837 because of the crown land foreshore rule, Mosman Rowing club was rejected in the 20th century.
2011 the sight was illegally developed. Their application for retrospective approval was RIGHTLY denied by Council, because it was inconsistent as a "community facility".
