We have hiked to Cooks Look 5 times now in all different types of weather and every time it has been amazing. On the last hike it was the most clear I have seen it and you could see right out to the reef and it gave me a feeling of what it may have been like for Captain Cook and his crew to be at the summit looking for safe passage through the reef. It's quite special knowing that history and signing the book at the top. The walk is moderate to hard and make sure you have good shoes and plenty of water. A lot of it is open too so you will want sun screen. At the summit it is a 360 degree view and the blue lagoon looks mind blowing. Great views of the island beaches on the way up and down too.
