WOW! So many complaints on several Internet sites about poor workmanship, materials or subbies attitude. Perhaps they are cheaper but does this explain contractors' volatile, arrogant attitude?
Contractors' vile language -- carpenters abused an aged pensioner, and other trades threatened neighbours. The supervisor appears powerless and apparently cares little. Emails to the office are ignored – what great public relations!
Incredible waste – ALL paid for by owners – with piles of left-over materials broken up and sent to the tip.
Properties near estates have site rubbish and worker's litter blown on to them. On one estate, the dust was so bad Sterling Homes were forced to clean neighbouring homes inside and out!
Sterling Homes, based on current evidence, would NOT come within a bull's roar of making my preferred builders list.
Recently bought a house that was built by this company. The house is only 4 years old and already has so many cracks in walls everywhere, the skirting boards are terrible.. we've had to fix every internal door as they didn't fit in the door frames properly ... dreading what else we will find... no wonder the people sold... wish the building inspector we hired did a better job.. we probably wouldn't have bought this house if we had known how many issues it had
