Truly unique location, breakfast and in-room dining options were all very nice tasty.
The ‘natural air conditioning’ did work for us in the evenings, however during the hot days not so much. The crater summit walk was fabulous and offers amazing star viewing if the descent in the dark doesn’t scare you. It does feel ‘away’ from things but is actually very close to town.
However, this is not a cheap place and it has the word ‘luxury’ all over the website. And that’s were it falls short. The furnishings feels outdated in quite some areas (bathroom, toilet). No WiFi. It also promised laundry facilities, but the dryer was missing and the laundry machine itself housed a family of mice. Which allowed for a nice picture :) obviously nobody had checked it for a long time. It is a nice place, but in my opinion it tries to oversell itself a bit.
