A nice but basic camping area.
There is a single composting toilet, a covered picnic table, a fire pit and a few reasonably flat cleared areas for camping. Everything was very nice and clean and working when we visited.
There is no water, other than the small tank for water for the basin in the toilet and no rubbish bins.
There is very little shade as the trees are mostly small, so it is probably fairly hot and exposed in the warmer months.
Note: The location is not quite correct on Google Maps (and they wouldn't correct it). The entrance to the camping area is off Newcarlbeon Road on the north of the reserve (at 30°39'58.0"S 117°25'03.3"E), not on the south as marked on Google Maps.
The camping area is right next to Newcarlbeon Rock, however the rock is not visible from the camping area and there is no marked track that goes to the rock. This seems to be a slight oversight! It is just a short walk to the rock and water tank if you head in the right direction. I have done a separate review about the rock.
